"Do what you love, love what you do"

This is the common thread from my first steps in linguistic education, which from my degree in Foreign European Languages in Parma has then continued through more specific and focused courses for translators and interpreters in Italy and abroad, and goes on until today with seminars and meetings for my continuing professional development (CPD).

The will to offer customers a highly professional service has encouraged me to obtain the Sworn Certification for Translators and Interpreters by the Court of Piacenza, valid on the whole country. Moreover, in order to always guarantee the best reliability and quality of the jobs, I have become member of the Italian Association of Freelance Translators and Interpreters (A.N.I.T.I.,, of DVÜD (German Association of Translators and Interpreters, and of IAPTI (International Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters, concerning all the three European languages.

After a fist job experience as foreign customers assistant at Daimler Chrysler, in 2006 I began my full-time freelance career as a professional translator and interpreter, and since then I have translated so many different texts and taken part into various exhibitions, events and meetings. In these thirteen years, I have always tried to extend the services offered to companies, including specialized translations, interpreting on exhibitions or directly at companies, website translations and commercial consultancy, so that the customer can rely on a complete global service, always of high quality. In case of big projects, I can rely on a network of qualified colleagues and I manage the team from the order and confirmation of the job until the final delivery.

Translation is a highly specialized skill. Like all skills, it is honed over time, but needs raw talent at its foundations. This means, before all else, superior writing skills in one’s native language. It means being able to glean the feeling and intent behind words beyond just their “meaning”. A second important skill is deep research in order to find the best solution: it is crucial to choose the correct language in different translation texts and in business, developed by email but also in various situations, such as meetings, exhibitions, events. Last, but not least, communication must be always smooth and accurate, involving a good dose of cultural mediation too, as tone can be everything in sensitive negotiations and with multinational partners. My analysis and convincing skills have been often appreciated in such occasions.

For each job, You can expect punctuality, attention to detail, great collaboration with the customer in order to obtain the goal, and obviously, high quality aimed at perfection. Since I have always been a challenging person, I am used to be a fast learner and can incorporate myself fairly well in various working environments, such as exhibitions. I am sure I will be a good addition to your team, thanks to values such as reliability, responsibility and my open-minded and extrovert character, so that I will greatly contribute to its productivity, creating also a pleasant working environment.
